St. Dominic uses the PBIS framework in the teaching of social competencies and in the development of a safe and effective school environment.  Our three school-wide behavioral expectations are:

Be Safe

Be Responsible

Be a Follower of Christ

For if we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord; so then, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's.

- Romans14:8

Education Commission

2020 Elections Open NOW

Due to the COVID pandemic, the annual St. Dominic Education Commission elections traditionally held in April, are taking place in September this year, with both on-line and in person voting options.  Four candidates have been nominated to fill three open positions on the Commission for a three year term beginning immediately: Mark Goins, Joe Kruessel, Jessica Remmel and Mike Stenger.  The Education Commission is a critical support mechanism for our Parish and School, and the current Commission members are excited to have our school families involved in the selection of its next class of members.

To vote electronically (and view information on each candidate), please follow this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LFV5VKR.  Voting will close on Sunday 9/13 at 8:00 pm.  One vote per school family parent/guardian, please.

For those unable to vote electronically, in-person voting will be available following all masses the weekend of September 12th/13th in the Church Gathering Space.   Written ballots and candidate bios will be available.  Please vote using only one of the methods (electronic or in-person), but NOT BOTH.

The first Education Commission meeting of the year will take place Monday 9/14 at 7:00 pm in the School Library.  The new members will be sworn in at this meeting.  All parishioners are welcome to attend.

Education Commission General Information

The primary function of the Education Commission is to recommend and determine policies that authorize and guide educational programs promoting the achievement of parish objectives. The Education Commission monitors and evaluates the implementation of the educational policies of the parish. It is a support mechanism for the administration of the school and the Faith Formation programs of the parish.

The Commission consists of voting and non-voting members and representatives to the Commission. Non-voting members include the pastor, associate, director of religious education and principal of the school. There are 9 voting members (3 are elected annually) who each serve a three-year term.

Meetings are the second Monday of every month, September through May, in the school library at 7:00 pm. All parisioners are welcome.
